The National Association for the Advancement of People of Color – NAACP – is leading a march through Atlanta, the capital of the state of Georgia, to urge law enforcement agencies to end police brutality against African-Americans.

The organization in charge of defending the rights of the Afro-descendant population in Georgia (USA) is leading a demonstration that is heading towards the State Capitol. Among the petitions are an end to police brutality and racism and the disappearance of vote suppression.

Atlanta protesters have decided to organize the protest action to coincide with lawmakers returning to work on Capitol Hill after several months of absence due to restrictions imposed by the coronavirus.
This protest action is part of the movement in defense of the rights of African Americans and against racism and police violence, strongly revived after the death on May 25 of the citizen George Floyd at the hands of an agent during his detention.
