A dramatic explosion of a tank truck carrying gasoline on roads in northern Colombia was recorded on video. The incident occurred when people tried to extract fuel from the overturned device.

At 07:30 hrs, it is known about the overturning of a plate tank truck WGV-913, it was loaded with 5,600 gallons of regular gasoline, which was moving towards Barranquilla-Santa Marta.
The SETRA 7 patrol, knows the case and reports that inhabitants of the Tasajera township had approached the place with pimpinas to steal the fuel, the situation got out of control and many people came to the truck and began to manipulate it and at that moment there was the explosion of the same that left dozens of people injured and seven people burned at the scene, as well as seven motorcycles that were on the side of the road.
All the injured people were taken to medical centers in Pueblo Viejo and Ciénaga to be treated, where many of them have first-degree burns.
Versions collected among witnesses to the accident on the Ciénaga-Barranquilla highway indicate that while some men stole the fuel the truck was carrying, a young man tried to steal the vehicle’s battery, which generated a spark and ended in an explosion.
