Boycott, new weapon of Americans amid protests

Promoting a boycott of brands and businesses seems to be the new strategy of dissatisfied United States citizens, in a new way of demonstrating against the management that the administration of President Donald Trump has given to the disorders that originated in the death of the African American George Floyd at the hands of the already dismissed and former police officer inmate Derek Chauvin.

This time the wick is lit by Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, who has assured that among the beneficiaries of the donation of his fortune is Donald Trump, through the campaign with which he seeks to be re-elected president next November.

The reactions have not been long in coming and the boycott of the Home Depot stores is promoted on social networks, in which Marcus has high investment and influence.

Everything would indicate, therefore, that far from calming the spirits after almost two weeks of protests, these are mutating into other actions that promote sectors from where they organize.

On the other hand, referring to requests that his followers made for his displacement to the city of Maine in the last hours, Trump said:

Riot gear or military control is not necessary because ANTIFA & other Wacko groups of Anarchists aren’t present to cause trouble. Incredible people. Thank you Maine!
