Five deaths and 30 police officers injured on the night of protests in Colombia against the murder of Javier Ordóñez

An intense night of protests over the murder by police officers of a citizen, which took place in Bogotá and the main cities of Colombia, leaves five people dead at dawn this Thursday and at least 30 police officers injured.

Unofficially, there is talk of people killed by shots fired with firearms.
A #ColombianLivesMatter has emerged from Bogotá as a result of the death of lawyer Javier Ordoñez at the hands of two agents of the National Police, who applied a severe beating and repeated electric shocks.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, said that “the case of Javier Ordóñez is not isolated.

“This year @Bogota has received and transferred 137 complaints of police abuse to the Police. However, to Julio, the Police reported only having asserted knowledge of 38. If they do not even initiate an investigation, how will it be prevented and punished? ”, The president questioned.
